Description
Cleaning up the Rotte
Rotterdam owes its origins and name to the Rotte: Rotte-dam
Clic recycle is an international Start up in Circular Economy. As an entrepreneur at the Rotterdam Centre market and resident of the Oudenoorden district, adjacent to the Rotte, I want to create awareness and give the river back the prestige it deserves.
The rotte is an attractive river to escape the city life. The Rotte is small, playful and characterized by its human size and centuries-old history.
It pains me to see how polluted the quays are. A lot of waste is collected in the centre behind the market. On the Noorderbrug, coots build nests of litter, cans, face masks, plastic, fast food packaging and more........ Sisel
The Rotte flows to the Nieuwe Maas, which finds its way to the North Sea. The North Sea is connected to the Atlantic Ocean and the world.
The time is now! On the Day of the Ocean we clean the quays from the Stokviswater to the Zaagmolenbrug.
A small local initiative with love, which has a beneficial impact on the oceans. Everything is a circle. With this cleanup action, we want to delight and connect people, create a clean safer environment, engagement and the oceans are less full of junk.
